Day by Day Breakdown
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe International Airport.
Upon arrival, your driver will be waiting to greet you and transfer you to your guest house for some rest after your flight. You will be staying at Airport Link Guest House.
Day 2: Drive to Gulu City Northern Uganda
After breakfast, begin your journey to Gulu. Along the way, enjoy a 2–3-hour rhino tracking experience and stop for lunch. Since it’s a long journey to Kidepo, you will pause in Gulu City for the night to rest. Accommodation: Acholi inn
Day 3: Procced to Kidepo Valley National Park.
After breakfast, embark on your journey to Kidepo National Park. Along the way, enjoy the scenic views of the local Karamojong people and their unique way of life. The journey takes approximately 4–5 hours.
Upon arrival, take some time to freshen up before heading out to visit the local community. Engage in their rich culture, observe how they interact, and admire their creativity as they craft beautiful beads. You’ll also have the opportunity to support them by purchasing items that catch your interest. Afterward, return to the lodge and unwind for the evening. Accommodation: Kidepo Savannah Lodge
Day 4: This Day is all about game drives.
Wake up, enjoy your breakfast, and head out for a morning game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park. Renowned for its incredible diversity of wildlife and bird species, the park is home to large herds of buffalos—the largest in the region—along with antelopes, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and majestic big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
After your game drive, return to the lodge for lunch. Take some time to relax and re-energize before preparing for another exciting game drive in the evening. Accommodation: Kidepo Savannah Lodge
Day 5: Drive to the South Sudan Border through the park.
After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive through the stunning valleys of Kidepo Valley National Park, characterized by seasonal rivers weaving through the expansive savannahs. After the drive, return to the lodge for lunch and relax for a while.
Later in the day, take a drive to the South Sudan border to visit the hot springs. Along the way, enjoy encounters with the unique birdlife of the wilderness, including the magnificent ostrich and other species. After this enriching experience, return to your lodge for the evening. Day 6: Drive to Murchison Falls.
After breakfast, depart from Kidepo and begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, renowned for its unique features and abundant offerings. Upon arrival, embark on an evening game drive to explore the park’s incredible wildlife and landscapes. After the drive, check in at your lodge and unwind for the evening. Day 7: Game Drives in Murchison Falls
Wake up early, have breakfast, and begin your day with a morning game drive. This is the ideal time to spot wildlife as animals are actively feeding. You’ll have a great chance to see the Big Five, along with other species like giraffes and buffalos.
After the game drive, enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out for a boat cruise in the afternoon. On this scenic cruise along the River Nile, you’ll get to see various aquatic animals, especially those along the riverbanks. Accommodation: Fort Murchison
Day 8: Visit the Fall and drive to Entebbe.
Enjoy your breakfast before heading to visit the top of the falls, this is a 15- & 30-minute hike, and you get to feel the splashes and rises of the most powerful falls of Murchison and get to understand more of its existence.
Later, drive to Kampala, have lunch, and then proceed to Entebbe.
