Uganda like any other East African country, such as Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania, is a safe destination for travellers. National parks and gorilla trekking locations are secure, and the people are known for their hospitality toward visitors. But it’s advisable to always go with your guide.
2. How do i obtain a visa?
To get a visa for Uganda and Rwanda, you can apply online through the Uganda E-Visa System or at the nearest Ugandan embassy and Rwanda Migration Portal. Both countries also offer the East African Tourist Visa, which costs $100 and allows travel between Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya for up to 90 days.
3. What is the best time of the year to visit Uganda or Rwanda?
The best time to visit Uganda and Rwanda is during their dry seasons, as the weather is more favourable for outdoor activities. That is June to September and December to February. These months are ideal for gorilla trekking and safaris, as the vegetation is less dense, animals gather around water sources, trails are less slippery, and wildlife is more straightforward to spot.

It’s mandatory to have a yellow fever vaccination to enter Uganda, you will need proof of vaccination (yellow fever certificate)

No, you won’t be infected with malaria if you sleep under the mosquito nets, also a mosquito repellent is advised.
8. Can accommodations provide dietary restrictions?
