Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide, who will assist you with your transfer to your pre-booked hotel in Kigali.

Day 3

Uganda Gorilla Trekking

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a short briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure.

You’ll then set off into the dense, mist-covered forest, hiking through the rolling hills that form the natural home of the mountain gorillas. The trek can be challenging at times, but the experience is truly rewarding as you track one of these gentle giants in the wild. Once you find a gorilla family, you’ll spend up to one hour quietly observing them as they feed, play, and interact.

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, enjoy some free time at your own pace—either resting at the lodge or taking an optional visit to a nearby community to learn more about local culture and daily life

Day 4

Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at your own pace following the previous day’s trek. Later, head out for a guided forest walk—a peaceful experience that allows you to slow down and fully appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It’s a great opportunity to listen to the sounds of the forest, spot birds, and take in the fresh mountain air.

In the afternoon, continue your journey to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most scenic destinations, known for its calm waters and over 20 small islands scattered across the lake. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge and take the rest of the evening to unwind, enjoy the views, and relax as the sun sets over the hills.

Day 5

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda)

After a restful night at Lake Bunyonyi, wake up early and enjoy breakfast with beautiful lake views before beginning your journey back into Rwanda.

You’ll drive toward Volcanoes National Park, enjoying scenic landscapes along the way as you cross back into the “Land of a Thousand Hills.” On route, stop for a guided coffee experience where you’ll learn how Rwanda’s world-famous coffee is grown, harvested, and processed—an engaging cultural insight into one of the country’s key exports.

Arrive in the evening near Volcanoes National Park, check in at your hotel, and take time to relax and settle in. Later, enjoy a warm dinner and an easy evening of rest as you prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Day 6

Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Return to Kigali

Good morning! After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park for a detailed briefing by the park rangers before starting your gorilla trekking experience.

You’ll then set off into the forest for a guided trek that can last around six to seven hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. The hike takes you through lush bamboo forests and volcanic slopes, offering a true wilderness experience along the way.

Once you find the gorillas, you’ll spend up to one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watch closely as they interact, feed, and move through the forest—an incredible wildlife encounter that is both rare and deeply moving. You’ll also have time to take photos and learn more about their behavior from the rangers.

After the trek, return to your lodge for a hot lunch and a short rest. Later, you’ll transfer back to Kigali, marking the end of your gorilla trekking adventure.
