About This Destination

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwestern Uganda. It is home to approximately half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas, making it one of the most important conservation areas on the planet. The park covers 321 square kilometers of dense tropical rainforest, ranging from 1,160 to 2,607 meters above sea level. Beyond gorillas, Bwindi hosts over 120 mammal species, 348 bird species, and 220 butterfly species.
