About This Destination

Nyungwe Forest National Park protects one of the oldest and most biodiverse rainforests in Africa. The park features East Africa's only canopy walkway, suspended 50 meters above the forest floor, offering breathtaking views across the treetops. Home to 13 primate species including chimpanzees and large troops of Ruwenzori colobus monkeys (up to 400 individuals), plus over 310 bird species including 27 Albertine Rift endemics.
