Day 1

Pick Up and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Upon arrival, your professional driver-guide will meet you at your hotel or airport and begin the scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Along the way, enjoy a memorable stop at the Uganda Equator in Masaka, where you can take photos, explore the landmark, and experience the unique opportunity of standing in both hemispheres at once. The journey continues through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, dotted with rolling hills, rural settlements, and expansive farmlands that showcase the country’s natural charm.

Once you arrive at Lake Mburo National Park, set out for a relaxing afternoon boat cruise on its calm waters. Day 2

Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After the game drive, enjoy lunch before continuing your scenic journey toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes you through Uganda’s stunning countryside, with its rolling hills, terraced landscapes, and misty highlands. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge nestled near the forest edge, settle into your accommodation, and spend the evening at leisure. This quiet time allows you to rest and prepare for the highly anticipated gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 3

Trekking of the Mountain Gorillas of Bwindi

After an early breakfast, prepare for one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences in the world. Your driver-guide will transfer you to the ranger station in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a detailed briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines, safety procedures, and what to expect during the encounter. You will then be assigned to a gorilla family, with trekking duration varying from approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on their location and movements from the previous night.

As you venture into the dense rainforest, be prepared for an immersive and challenging hike through thick vegetation, steep slopes, and muddy trails that make this experience so authentic and rewarding. Bwindi’s ever-changing weather adds to the adventure, with misty forests and occasional rain enhancing the jungle atmosphere. Once you finally locate the gorillas, you will spend a precious one hour observing them in their natural habitat, watching their behavior and interactions up close in a rare and deeply moving wildlife encounter.

Day 4

Drive to Kibale National Park through Queen Elizabeth National Park

Embark on a scenic drive toward Kibale National Park, traveling through the spectacular landscapes of western Uganda and passing near Queen Elizabeth National Park en route. The journey offers breathtaking views of rolling green hills, terraced farmlands, and the dramatic foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, famously known as the “Mountains of the Moon.”

In the evening, you may choose from a range of optional experiences or simply unwind at your lodge. Explore the region’s lush tea plantations, visit the scenic crater lakes, or admire the snow-capped peaks of the Rwenzori range for a deeper appreciation of western Uganda’s natural beauty. Day 5

Kibale Forest National Park Chimp Trekking.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the briefing point in Kibale National Park to begin your chimpanzee trekking experience. Here, park rangers will guide you through the rules and expectations before you set off into the dense tropical rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. The trek takes you through lush vegetation, forest trails, and diverse habitats, offering a truly immersive primate adventure.

Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend one remarkable hour observing them as they interact, groom, play, and move through the forest canopy. This rare encounter provides excellent opportunities for photography and a deeper understanding of their social behavior in the wild. After the trek, return for lunch and, if desired, visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-managed reserve known for its rich birdlife, monkeys, and scenic swamp landscapes. In the evening, return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the day’s unforgettable primate encounter.

Return to Entebbe through Kampala

After breakfast, your professional guide will drive you back to Entebbe International Airport, marking the final leg of your journey.
