You will then be assigned to a gorilla family, with trekking duration varying from approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on their location and movements from the previous night.

In the evening, you may choose from a range of optional experiences or simply unwind at your lodge. Alternatively, relax at your accommodation, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and prepare for the exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure awaiting you in Kibale National Park the following day

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the briefing point in Kibale National Park to begin your chimpanzee trekking experience. Here, park rangers will guide you through the rules and expectations before you set off into the dense tropical rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. The trek takes you through lush vegetation, forest trails, and diverse habitats, offering a truly immersive primate adventure.

Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend one remarkable hour observing them as they interact, groom, play, and move through the forest canopy. This rare encounter provides excellent opportunities for photography and a deeper understanding of their social behavior in the wild. After the trek, return for lunch and, if desired, visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-managed reserve known for its rich birdlife, monkeys, and scenic swamp landscapes. After breakfast, your professional guide will drive you back to Entebbe International Airport, marking the final leg of your journey.
